North All-Stars Dominate South, win 38-13 in blowout
Albuquerque, New Mexico - The North All-Stars rolled Wednesday Night over the South 38-13 in front of 2,000 fans at Nusenda Community Stadium. The North All-Stars jumped to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter after Eldorado Quarterback Jayce Jackson hooked up with Valley's Elijah Naranjo for a 40-yard score. Volcano Vista Quarterback Josh Williams would then hit Naranjo on a 82-yard touchdown to make it 14-0. After the North forced a South Punt, Williams a standout from Volcano Vista who told us after the game he's walking on at UNM scored on a quarterback keeper from 10-yards out to make it 21-0 in the first quarter.
The South would get on the board in the second quarter when Artesia Quarterback Justin Houghtaling threw a touchdown pass, followed by Daulton Hatley of Clovis who threw a touchdown to Artesia's Carlos Carrasco to make it 21-13. Just before half, Sandia's Jimmy Gallegos hit a 35-yard field goal to make it 24-13 at the break. The North came out firing threw the air, Williams hooked up with Naranjo again and in the 4th quarter Williams scored his 4th touchdown of the night off a short touchdown run to make the final 38-13.
